Forensic Accounting Intern When I tell an individual that I am an accountant, most people envision the stereotypical boring accountant sitting in a cubical, number-crunching from nine to five. Therefore, I find it interesting to break that conventional image and explain the thought process on why I chose accounting as a career. Being an accountant in the public industry (independent third-party firm), often than not, traveling is essential. We frequently travel as a team and work from the client site rather than in an office. The opportunities within the industry are endless as the service line includes Tax, Assurance, and Advisory. WHO AM I? Hi, my name is Emily Tsai, and I am from Alhambra, California. My family and I moved to the United States in 2005. Therefore, for the first half of my life, I grew up in Taiwan. Fast forward years later, I am currently a senior at USC. I am an accounting major and will be starting my career in the Assurance practice at PwC. I am interested in the entertainment industry as well as forensic accounting. I had a slight exposure to both of my passion and interest through my past internship experiences. Therefore, I plan to chase after my curiosity by starting my career at the TMT team at my firm to explore the entertainment industry.
